Zeynep Azra Kahraman
Pilates Instructor
My Pilates journey began with a desire to do good for myself. Over time, it strengthened not only my body but also my mind. Each movement allowed me to reconnect with myself.
I am a Pilates instructor and also a fourth-year student in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation. My interest in the human body and the healing power of movement has led me to this field, both scientifically and spiritually.
Through my physiotherapy training, I learned to deeply understand anatomy, posture, and muscle balance. Pilates, on the other hand, allowed me to put this knowledge into practice, realizing that the body is not only physical but also a mental and emotional whole. In each class, I aim to combine these two areas, strengthening the body while connecting with the mind.
My priority in my classes is for participants to feel good, become aware of their bodies, and leave each session feeling relaxed, peaceful, and happy. I know that every individual has a different physical story, and therefore I tailor the classes to their personal needs.
I believe Pilates, along with proper breathing, instills discipline, balance, and awareness. Improved posture, strengthened muscles, and increased freedom of movement are important to me, as is regaining confidence in one's own body.
My goal is to help participants strengthen not only physically but also mentally, and to foster a more balanced and mindful approach to daily life. Because, in my view, Pilates is more than just an exercise—it's a journey of balance and awareness that extends to every aspect of life.
